Blastdozer (1997) – Nintendo 64 (Japanese Version) – Cartridge Only

Get behind the wheel and start smashing your way through Blastdozer, Rare’s explosive action game for the Nintendo 64.

Released in Japan in 1997, Blastdozer is the Japanese version of the game known internationally as Blast Corps. Your mission is simple: clear a path for a runaway nuclear missile carrier before it reaches its destination. Bulldozers, trucks, robots and other heavy machinery are at your disposal as you demolish buildings, clear obstacles and rescue civilians along the way.

With around 60 stages, a mix of destruction-focused missions and time-attack challenges, and a medal system rewarding increasingly efficient runs, Blastdozer offers considerably more depth than its demolition-focused premise might suggest.

The Japanese release is particularly interesting for collectors as the game retains the Blastdozer name rather than the Blast Corps title used in other regions. It was developed by Rare and published by Nintendo, making it a great example of the distinctive Japanese releases found throughout the Nintendo 64 library.

This is the Japanese NTSC-J version of the game and features Japanese text and menus.

Please note: this is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge and requires compatible Japanese or region-compatible Nintendo 64 hardware to play.

A chaotic, satisfying slice of Rare’s N64 catalogue and a must-have for anyone who thinks every problem can be solved with a sufficiently large bulldozer.
