Join Banjo and Kazooie on one of the Nintendo 64’s most beloved adventures with Banjo-Kazooie, Rare’s colourful 3D platformer.
Originally released in Japan in 1998, Banjo-Kazooie follows Banjo the bear and Kazooie the bird as they set out to rescue Banjo’s sister Tooty from the wicked witch Gruntilda. Explore expansive worlds, collect Jiggies and Musical Notes, learn new moves and team up with a memorable cast of characters along the way.
With its mix of platforming, exploration, puzzles and collectables, Banjo-Kazooie became one of the defining 3D platformers of the Nintendo 64 era. From Mumbo’s transformations to the game’s huge range of colourful worlds, there’s plenty to discover across this classic Rare adventure.
The Japanese version is particularly interesting for collectors, featuring the Japanese title Banjo-Kazooie no Daibouken 1 and Japanese packaging, menus and text. It was released in Japan in December 1998, several months after the game’s Western releases.
Please note: this is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge and requires compatible Japanese or region-compatible Nintendo 64 hardware to play.
A Nintendo 64 classic and an essential addition to any Rare, Nintendo or Japanese N64 collection.
