Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 6 (1999) – Nintendo 64 (Japanese Version) – Cartridge Only

Step up to the plate with Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 6, Konami’s colourful and surprisingly deep baseball game for the Nintendo 64.

Released in Japan in 1999, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 6 combines arcade-style baseball with a huge range of game modes and the series’ instantly recognisable super-deformed characters. With licensed Japanese professional teams and players based on the 1998 season, it’s a great snapshot of Japanese baseball at the end of the 1990s.

There’s plenty to explore beyond a standard exhibition match, with Pennant, Scenario, League and Camp modes alongside the series’ popular Success mode. In Success mode, you’ll follow one of six university-based stories, training your character and working towards becoming a professional player.

The game also includes a range of additional features, including Home Run Competition and the ability to exchange created players with the Game Boy title Power Pro Kun Pocket.

This is the original Japanese version of the game and features Japanese text and menus. Please note that an understanding of Japanese is required to get the most out of the game’s story and management elements.

Please note: this is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge and requires compatible Japanese or region-compatible Nintendo 64 hardware to play.

A fun and surprisingly deep piece of Konami’s Japanese N64 catalogue, perfect for collectors looking to explore the Powerful Pro Yakyuu series.
