Join Kirby on an interplanetary adventure in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, one of the Nintendo 64’s most colourful and charming platformers.

Known in Japan as Hoshi no Kirby 64, this 2000 Nintendo classic was developed by HAL Laboratory and brings Kirby into a world of fully rendered 3D environments while keeping the gameplay firmly rooted in side-scrolling platforming.

When Dark Matter attacks Ribbon’s home world and shatters a precious crystal, Kirby sets out to recover the scattered Crystal Shards and restore it to its original form. Travel across a series of colourful worlds, inhale enemies, copy their abilities and discover new ways to overcome obstacles.

One of the game’s standout features is the Power Combo system, allowing Kirby to combine two Copy Abilities together to create new powers. With dozens of combinations to discover, experimenting with different abilities is a big part of the fun.

Alongside the main adventure, Kirby 64 includes three multiplayer minigames supporting up to four players, making it a great addition to a multiplayer N64 collection.

This is the original Japanese release, known as Hoshi no Kirby 64, which launched in Japan in March 2000 before its North American, European and Australian releases.

The Japanese version features Japanese text and menus. Please note that an understanding of Japanese may be helpful for navigating menus and story elements.

Please note: this is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge and requires compatible Japanese or region-compatible Nintendo 64 hardware to play.

A colourful Nintendo 64 classic and a great addition to any Kirby, Nintendo or Japanese game collection.
