Return to Spiral Mountain with Banjo and Kazooie in Banjo to Kazooie no Daibouken 2, the Japanese Nintendo 64 release of Rare’s much-loved sequel Banjo-Tooie.

Released in Japan in 2000, Banjo to Kazooie no Daibouken 2 picks up two years after the events of the original game. Gruntilda is back, and Banjo and Kazooie are once again on a mission to put a stop to her plans.

Rare took everything that made Banjo-Kazooie such a classic and made the sequel bigger, more ambitious and considerably more expansive. Explore eight huge interconnected worlds, solve puzzles, collect Jiggies and Jinjos, learn new moves and take on a huge range of enemies and challenges.

This time around, Banjo and Kazooie can also split up and tackle challenges independently, while new abilities, transformations and characters add considerably more variety to the adventure. The game even lets you take control of Mumbo Jumbo, giving the sequel plenty of surprises beyond the traditional platforming formula.

There’s plenty to discover outside the main adventure too, with a range of multiplayer mini-games supporting up to four players. The game also supports the Nintendo 64 Rumble Pak.

The Japanese release is known as Banjo to Kazooie no Daibouken 2 (バンジョーとカズーイの大冒険2), giving the game a distinctly different title from the Banjo-Tooie name used elsewhere. It was released in Japan on 27 November 2000.

Please note: this is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge and requires compatible Japanese or region-compatible Nintendo 64 hardware to play. The game features Japanese text and menus.

A fantastic Rare classic and an essential addition to any Nintendo 64, Banjo-Kazooie or Japanese import collection.
