The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998) – Nintendo 64 (Japanese Version) – Cartridge Only

Step into the world of Hyrule with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, one of the most influential games ever released for the Nintendo 64.

Released in Japan in 1998 as Zelda no Densetsu: Toki no Ocarina, Ocarina of Time takes Link on an unforgettable journey through Hyrule as he grows from a young Kokiri into the Hero of Time.

Explore forests, villages, deserts and mountains, solve intricate puzzles and take on some of the Nintendo 64’s most memorable dungeons. Along the way, you’ll collect weapons and items, learn powerful new abilities and face a huge range of enemies and bosses.

One of the game’s defining features is its ability to travel between childhood and adulthood, allowing Link to experience Hyrule at two different points in time. The Master Sword, the titular Ocarina of Time and a mysterious prophecy all play central roles in the adventure.

The game’s Z-targeting system was particularly revolutionary, giving players a new way to control a 3D character during combat. Its influence can still be seen throughout modern third-person action games.

The Japanese release is known as Zelda no Densetsu: Toki no Ocarina (ゼルダの伝説 時のオカリナ) and was released in Japan on 21 November 1998. This is the original Japanese release, rather than a Japanese-exclusive game, with Ocarina of Time subsequently released throughout North America, Europe and Australia.

Please note: this is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge and requires compatible Japanese or region-compatible Nintendo 64 hardware to play. The game features Japanese text and menus.

A genuine Nintendo 64 classic and an essential addition to any Zelda, Nintendo 64 or Japanese game collection.
