64 Trump Collection: Alice no Waku Waku Trump World (1998) – Nintendo 64 (Japanese Exclusive) – Cartridge Only

Step into a storybook world of cards with 64 Trump Collection: Alice no Waku Waku Trump World, one of the Nintendo 64’s more unusual Japanese-exclusive releases.

Released exclusively in Japan in 1998, this charming card-game collection combines traditional playing-card games with an Alice in Wonderland-inspired adventure. The story is presented in a colourful pop-up-book style, following Alice through a series of chapters as she explores her whimsical card-filled world.

There’s plenty to play beyond the story, with 13 different card games including Poker, Blackjack, Old Maid, Concentration, Daifugo, Klondike, FreeCell and Speed. There’s also a Trump Classroom mode that teaches the rules of the various games, along with card-reading and fortune-telling modes for something a little different.

The game supports up to four players, making it an unusual multiplayer option for the N64. Its colourful presentation and Alice in Wonderland theme also give it a distinctly different feel from the more typical card and board games released on the console.

Never released outside Japan, 64 Trump Collection is a genuine Japanese-exclusive Nintendo 64 game and a great example of the wonderfully obscure titles hiding in the Japanese N64 library.

The game features Japanese text and menus. Please note that an understanding of Japanese will be required to get the most out of the game, particularly the story and instructional sections.

Please note: this is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge and requires a compatible Japanese or region-compatible Nintendo 64 console to play.

A quirky Alice in Wonderland-inspired card collection and a fascinating piece of Japanese N64 history.
