Take a trip to one of the world’s most famous golf courses with Eikō no Saint Andrews, a Japanese-exclusive golf game for the Nintendo 64.
Released in 1996, Eikō no Saint Andrews recreates the legendary Old Course at St Andrews in Scotland, giving players the chance to take on one of golf’s most iconic locations from the comfort of their Nintendo 64. It was also the first golf game released for the Nintendo 64, making it an interesting piece of the system’s early history.
The game focuses on a realistic approach to golf, with players needing to consider factors such as wind, terrain and club selection as they work their way around the course. The swing system uses the Nintendo 64’s analogue stick, adding a little extra precision to each shot.
Unlike many of the N64’s better-known sports titles, Eikō no Saint Andrews was released exclusively in Japan, making it an intriguing addition for collectors looking to explore the more obscure corners of the Japanese Nintendo 64 library.
The game features Japanese text and menus. Please note that an understanding of Japanese may be required to get the most out of the game.
Please note: this is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge and requires compatible Japanese or region-compatible Nintendo 64 hardware to play.
An obscure piece of early Nintendo 64 history and a must-have for collectors who enjoy the stranger side of the Japanese library.
