Take Pokémon battles into 3D with Pokémon Pocket Monsters Stadium 2, the Japanese release of the Nintendo 64 classic known internationally as Pokémon Stadium 2.
Released in Japan in 2000 as Pokémon Stadium Kin Gin, the game brings all 251 Pokémon from the first and second generations into full 3D battles. Build your team, compete in tournaments and take on a huge range of battles and challenges inspired by Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal.
There’s much more to explore beyond the battles. The game features a huge collection of Pokémon mini-games, educational content, trading and storage functions, and compatibility with the Game Boy Pokémon games through the 64GB Pak.
The Japanese release is particularly interesting for collectors as the original version of one of the N64’s most popular Pokémon titles. Released in Japan on 14 December 2000, Pokémon Stadium Kin Gin features the original Japanese presentation, menus and text.
The game supports Pokémon from Pokémon Red, Green, Blue and Yellow, as well as Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal, when used with the appropriate Game Boy software and 64GB Pak.
Please note: this is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge and requires compatible Japanese or region-compatible Nintendo 64 hardware to play. The 64GB Pak and compatible Game Boy Pokémon game are required for the transfer and Pokémon storage features.
A fantastic piece of Pokémon and Nintendo 64 history, and a great addition to any Pokémon, Nintendo or Japanese N64 collection.
