Yoshi’s Story (1997) – Nintendo 64 (Japanese Version) – Cartridge Only

Enter a colourful storybook world with Yoshi’s Story, Nintendo’s charming platformer starring everyone’s favourite dinosaur.

Originally released in Japan in 1997, Yoshi’s Story follows a group of Yoshis on a journey to restore the Super Happy Tree after Baby Bowser casts a spell over their world. Presented as a living storybook, each level unfolds across beautifully crafted pages filled with colourful environments, enemies, fruit and secrets to discover.

Rather than simply reaching the end of each level, your goal is to collect fruit and restore the happiness of the Yoshi world. Different routes, fruit combinations and hidden elements give the game plenty of replayability, while its bright visual style remains one of the most distinctive on the Nintendo 64.

The Japanese release arrived several months before the Western versions, making this an interesting early Japanese Nintendo 64 release for collectors. This version features Japanese text and menus.

Please note: this is a Japanese NTSC-J cartridge and requires compatible Japanese or region-compatible Nintendo 64 hardware to play.

A colourful Nintendo 64 classic and a lovely addition to any Yoshi, Nintendo or Japanese N64 collection.
